Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains how Indigo, an app for iPhone and iPad made by Jake Haas, handles your information. The short version: Indigo does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

Information I collect

None. Indigo has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. I do not receive any personal information about you or how you use the app.

Indigo collects nothing about you. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting. Your games, save files, save states and settings stay on your device and in your own device backups; I never receive them.

The app makes network requests in only two situations, both of them optional. When you add a game, it may request a cover image for that title from the public libretro-thumbnails archive; the request carries the title only, with no identifier for you or your device, and I neither operate nor log that service. And if you use link-cable multiplayer, the app contacts a signalling relay to connect the two devices — it carries only what is needed to establish that connection and the game data the two players exchange while playing, nothing is retained after the session ends, and the relay address is configurable if you would rather run your own.

Three system permissions are requested, each only when the feature that needs it is used. Local network access finds a nearby player for link-cable multiplayer. Photo library access saves screenshots you choose to take. Motion access lets games that shipped with a motion-sensing cartridge respond to tilting and turning your device, and is off until you enable it in Settings.

Indigo contains no advertising, no third-party SDKs and no in-app purchases. It collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Third-party services

Indigo does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and it does not share data with anyone — there is nothing to share.

Children's privacy

Indigo does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 — because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, I will post the new version on this page and update the date shown above.
