Privacy Policy
Overview
This policy explains how Text Editor, an app for iPhone and iPad made by Jake Haas, handles your information. The short version: Text Editor does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.
Information I collect
None. Text Editor has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. I do not receive any personal information about you or how you use the app.
Your documents are your own files. Text Editor saves them through the system document browser to wherever you choose — the Files app, your own iCloud Drive, or on your device. They live in your storage; the app has no iCloud container or server of its own, so I never receive them. Your editor settings and writing-streak counts are kept only on your device.
The app requests no permissions. It does not ask for your photos, camera, microphone, location, or contacts, and there is no account or sign-in.
Text Editor makes no network connections on its own. The one exception is the content you write: if a document you preview links to an image or web page hosted online, opening it loads that item from the site you referenced — the same as following any link. Nothing about you or your files is sent to me either way.
Third-party services
Text Editor does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and it does not share data with anyone — there is nothing to share.
Any purchase — the app itself or anything inside it — is handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment under Apple's own privacy policy; I never receive your payment details.
Children's privacy
Text Editor does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13 — because it does not collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, I will post the new version on this page and update the date shown above.
