Need help with Wax? Email jake@jakehaas.com and I'll get back to you. It's quickest if you include your device and iOS version and a short note on what you were doing when the problem happened.

Where should I start?
Choose New Project > Explore Example Models to open a robot, spacecraft, painted creature, speaker or animated scene. Each example is editable and free to explore. For a walkthrough, open the menu in the project gallery and choose Guided Tour. It covers navigation, selecting and moving objects, editing, sculpting and animation. Help & Gestures lists touch gestures and keyboard shortcuts, and you can replay the tour from Help while editing.
Where are my projects, and how do I back them up?
Wax saves projects on your device. In Files, open On My iPhone or On My iPad, then Wax. Copy the .wax files somewhere safe, or choose Wax Project in Export and save the copy to your preferred destination. A Wax project preserves the editable scene; other export formats may not retain every feature. Wax does not provide automatic cloud sync. Back up your projects before deleting the app.
What is included in Wax Pro?
Combine shapes or cut holes with booleans, rebuild meshes for sculpting with voxel remeshing, and share animations or turntables as MP4 videos. Pro also exports GLB models for game and web workflows and USDZ models for AR. Every Pro feature is included in one purchase with Family Sharing and no subscription. Modeling, sculpting, painting, animation, modifiers, unlimited projects, and Wax, OBJ, STL, SDS and PNG export remain free.
Can I share Wax Pro with my family?
Yes. The one-time Wax Pro purchase supports Apple's Family Sharing, so eligible members of your family group can use the Pro features too. Apple manages the shared purchase through your Family Sharing settings.
How do I restore Wax Pro?
Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases, or use Restore Purchases on the Wax Pro screen. Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. If pricing cannot load, check your connection and tap Try Again on the Pro screen.
Which files can I import?
In Projects, tap Import Model to create a project from an OBJ, GLB or glTF file, or open a saved .wax project. In an open project, choose Add > Import Model or Project options (…) > Import Model to add models to the current scene; you can undo the import. GLB and glTF models must embed their buffers and textures. OBJ imports geometry, UVs and vertex colors, but not separate MTL materials or texture files. Keep the source file; Wax does not import glTF animation or rigging.
How do I export a model or animation?
Choose Export & Share from the editor menu, or the export button on iPad. Select a format and its options, then tap Export. The system share sheet lets you save the file or send it to another app. PNG renders the current view or a chosen camera; MP4 offers animation or a turntable. GLB, USDZ and MP4 require Wax Pro.
I hid everything. How do I bring the objects back?
In Object mode, open More and choose Unhide All. You can also toggle each object's eye in the Outliner. Use Frame All in the view or camera menu if the objects are visible but outside the current view.
A large scene or export is slow. What can I do?
Try fewer subdivision levels, a lower remesh resolution, or a lower image or video output height. Dense meshes and high-resolution renders need more device memory. If a particular project fails repeatedly, email your device model, iOS version, the steps that reproduce it, and a project copy only if you are comfortable sharing it.
